How Does My Garden Grow
By Jandi Theis
Hey Friends!
I'm just stopping in to share some photos and give you a quick update on the progress of my garden. A couple of weeks ago, I came home from work to find a garden in a box… my Tower Garden had been delivered! I planted the seeds two weeks ago today. This is the photo I took at that time…

I can't even tell you how many times in the last two weeks I have looked at this tray, sometimes several times a day looking to see if something green has popped up. Well, I am excited and thrilled with the progress and happy to report that all of my seeds have sprouted! This growing business is fun stuff! Not only do I have sprouts, I have plants!
Here are a few photos to show you how my garden grows…

Day #7 ~ In just 7 days since planting the seeds, I already had 6 plants growing!

Day #8 ~ The babies are a little bigger and another has sprouted.

Day #14 ~ I took this picture this morning. Although it's hard to see here, there is something sprouted in all 17 pots. My Tower Garden will hold 20 plants, but I have saved three pots for strawberry plants. Since I've heard they take a long time to germinate, I'm going to buy the strawberry plants from a local greenhouse.

These plants belong to my good friend, Lorena… they were 14 days old when I took this picture. As you can see, she has more plants than I do… that's because she purchased an extender kit for her Tower Garden, giving her the capability to plant eight more plants. (She also saved some pots to add strawberry plants later.)

This is my Tower Garden, ready and waiting for some plants. This was an easy assembly, and although I was prepared to do it by myself, I was happy to have my parents stop by on Mother's Day, just in time for my dad to help put it together. It took the two of us maybe 15 minutes… and it would have been less time if we hadn't stopped to find a washer to replace the one that I dropped between the boards on the deck!
Some of my plants already have some good roots growing, so I think they will be ready for their permanent home in the Tower Garden in the next day or two. I think it's time to go shopping for strawberry plants!
Stay tuned for an update and until then…
Grow Healthy! Be Happy!
